Popular gospel singer, Salau Aliu Olayiwola, known professionally as Testimony Jaga, has weighed in on a viral video featuring fellow gospel minister Ebuka Songs, who was seen responding to criticism from a pastor during a church service.

Pastor Kesiena Esiri, founder of the Remnant Christian Network, had earlier accused Ebuka Songs of belittling the Christian faith and misusing the gift of speaking in tongues. The pastor detailed a personal encounter with the singer, expressing concerns about his approach to ministry.

In a bold response delivered mid-service, Ebuka Songs questioned Pastor Esiri’s intentions and criticized him for publicly calling him out. He defended his ministry and spoke about his own vision.

Reacting to the drama, Testimony Jaga remarked that the clergyman had offered his correction in a spirit of love. He pointed out that even Moses Bliss, Ebuka’s former mentor, had remained silent on the matter and avoided online confrontations.

Jaga said he was disappointed by Ebuka’s response, expecting instead a humble acceptance of the correction. He revealed that he once tried to reach out to Ebuka after receiving a divine revelation concerning him. Although Ebuka promised to return the call, he never did.

Challenging Ebuka’s commitment to outreach, Jaga said that if the singer truly wanted to evangelize to sex workers, he should accompany him to places like Ojo and Mushin, suggesting that the reality there would test his resolve.

Jaga boldly declared that if Ebuka was genuinely called by God, the results would speak for themselves. He also played a clip of a certain Peller mocking the same pastor, claiming Peller had threatened legal action, and accused him of also ridiculing Ebuka yet Ebuka remained silent.

Wrapping up, Testimony Jaga warned Ebuka Songs with strong words, saying he would “knock him until his head brings out water,” and reminded the public that this wasn’t the first time he’s spoken out against those he feels are disrespecting Christianity referencing his previous criticism of Martins Vincent Otse in his clash with Mercy Chinwo.
