Human rights lawyer Deji Adeyanju has criticised businesswoman Tracy Ohiri over her ongoing dispute involving Nigeria’s Minister of Works, David Nweze Umahi.

Reacting to the controversy, Adeyanju questioned Ohiri’s claims of integrity, alleging that she cannot hold on to money while also insisting she was misled.

“If you claim your lawyer misled you into settling with David Umahi and you now suddenly have integrity after apologizing to him, please return the $70,000 first.

This way, we can take you seriously. How can you accept money when you were misled? You cannot keep Umahi’s money and still claim to have integrity at the same time,” he said.

Ohiri has been in the spotlight following her allegations that she was offered $70,000 instead of an agreed ₦305,550,000, a claim that has sparked widespread reactions and counterclaims.
