A man has sparked widespread debate online after revealing that his decision to marry hinges entirely on his mother’s approval.
In a video gaining traction on X (formerly Twitter), he stated that he fully trusts his mother’s judgment and would never pursue a marriage if she does not like his prospective partner, regardless of his own feelings.
He believes many men make the mistake of ignoring their mother’s opinions, which he says can often cause problems in marriage. According to him, his mother has always guided him well and remains his most reliable source of advice.
“My approval of a woman or my consideration of a woman for marriage heavily hinges on what my mother thinks of her,” he said. “That’s the woman who raised me and made me the man that I am today.”
He explained that if his mother reacts negatively or seems uncomfortable with a woman he introduces, the relationship would naturally falter.
“If I introduce her to a woman and she doesn’t take to that woman, I’ll start side-eyeing her. Even if I try my hardest, it will never go further than that,” he stated.
While he acknowledged that some men choose to marry women their mothers don’t get along with, he emphasized that this is a path he personally cannot take.
