Nigerian singer Tiwa Savage has opened up about her emotions toward her former partner and music collaborator, Wizkid.
In a video that has gone viral online, Tiwa revealed that performing with Wizkid often brings back strong memories of their past, making the experience deeply emotional.
She recalled their reunion at the Great Lagos Countdown 2025, a major annual music event in Lagos, explaining that seeing Wizkid again stirred feelings from six years ago. Tiwa admitted she still finds it difficult to hide her emotions when they perform together.
She said, “It’s uncomfortable performing with Wizkid on stage. I admit I’m still in love with him.
“When we reunited at Great Lagos Countdown 2025, my heart beat just as it did six years ago. Every time Wizkid gets close, I can’t control my smile.
“He gave me so many beautiful memories that I almost forgot how bad our relationship once was. If I could choose one man in this lifetime, it would only be Wizkid.

During the meeting, Governor Sanwo-Olu spoke about key youth empowerment and tourism initiatives being implemented by his administration. He also revealed that the Eyo Cultural Festival organised in December attracted about 10,000 participants, alongside thousands of spectators.
