Nollywood actor Timini Egbuson has spoken openly about his views on love, finances, and the personal lessons he has learned from previous relationships.
In an interview with Jay On-Air TV, the actor revealed that his understanding of what truly matters in a relationship has evolved over time. He explained that although he once placed heavy emphasis on money, his outlook has since changed.
“I still think money is important, but what I realise now is that money is just one out of many things that matter. If all you can bring to a relationship is money, then you’re a very shallow man,” Timini said.
The actor stressed that lasting relationships are built on emotional support, being present, listening, and genuinely showing up for one’s partner, rather than relying solely on financial provision.
He added that money alone is no longer impressive, especially in places like Lagos where many people are already financially stable.
His remarks have generated conversations on social media, with many users agreeing that emotional availability and communication are often missing in modern relationships.
Timini also reflected on his own past, admitting that communication was the major challenge in his previous relationship. He attributed this to his demanding schedule and a selfish mindset at the time.
