Former Big Brother Naija winner Phyna has expressed her willingness to reconcile with Afrobeats superstar Davido, revealing that she would gladly accept an opportunity to stream with him if one presents itself.
Phyna made this known during a recent livestream, where she addressed their long-standing online rift. According to her, she is open to tendering an apology to the singer but would first like clarity on what truly transpired between them and how Davido interpreted the comment that sparked the controversy.
The fallout between the duo dates back to late 2023, when Davido appeared to like a post on X (formerly Twitter) that questioned Phyna’s identity. The action was widely perceived as dismissive and triggered backlash from Phyna and her supporters, who accused the singer of arrogance and online bullying. The situation was further amplified when fellow reality TV star Tacha weighed in on the issue.
Speaking during the livestream, Phyna noted that she is ready to bury the hatchet and move forward, provided there is an honest conversation to clear the air.
“If I get the opportunity to stream with Davido, I will take it. I’m going to tender an apology to him, but before that, I want to understand what really happened and how he saw that comment that caused the problem,” she said.
