Nigerian socialite and celebrity bartender, Cubana Chief Priest, has addressed claims of betrayal following criticism from an Igbo youth over his support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re-election campaign.

The controversy arose after Chief Priest posted a video showing buses allegedly contributed by Igbo businessmen to back Tinubu’s bid for a second term.

In the post, he emphasized that the goal is to secure Tinubu’s victory and make him a favored choice among South Eastern voters. He added that they would no longer “sit on the sidelines” for another four years and insisted that removing Tinubu from office is not an option.

Chief Priest also claimed that no other political party comes close to matching Tinubu’s influence, remarks that sparked reactions, especially from members of the Igbo community who questioned his endorsement.

One comment, in particular, drew attention: an Igbo youth wrote, “As an Igbo boy, I feel betrayed.”

Instead of ignoring the message, Cubana Chief Priest responded to it directly.

Na your money Zenco take buy the bus? Una never see film sef,” he replied.
