“I Will Not Call Them Again”- VeryDarkMan Denies ‘Damage Control’ Over The Blord Situation Withdraws Police Plan

  • VeryDarkMan denied claims of doing damage control over the Blord situation and stated that he has withdrawn plans to call the police regarding the bail process.
  • He further revealed that he had initially planned to contact the police regarding the matter but has now changed his mind due to public reactions.

Social media critic VeryDarkMan has responded to allegations that he recently posted a video as a form of damage control ahead of developments involving Blord.

In a statement, VeryDarkMan denied the claims, explaining that his intentions were being misinterpreted by the public.

“I posted a video yesterday, and people are claiming I came online to do damage control because I knew Blord would come out today,” he said.

He further revealed that he had initially planned to contact the police regarding the matter but has now changed his mind due to public reactions.

“I was planning to call the police so they would not oppose Blord’s lawyer’s bail application, but because of what you people are saying, I will not call them again. Let them do their work,” he added.

Meanwhile GISTLOVER earlier reported that Social media critic Martins Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan, has raised concerns over the health condition of businessman Linus Williams Ifejirika, also known as Blord, during his detention at Kuje prison, where he has spent close to two weeks.

On Sunday, April 12, 2026, VeryDarkMan shared a WhatsApp message via his Instagram story alleging that Blord had fallen ill while in custody.

The message claimed that due to his health condition, he was moved from a section of the prison referred to as “Egypt 2” to a segregation area for closer monitoring.

“Them don move Blord from Egypt 2 to segregation… Egypt 2 na the Ajegunle part of Kuje prison where armed robbers and other criminals dey stay… they had to move him because he was sick,” the message read in part.

By posting the chat, VeryDarkMan stated that he had been aware of Blord’s health issues since April 6, adding that he found it ironic after activist Omoyele Sowore earlier suggested that the businessman described his time in prison as an opportunity to rest.

Sowore had previously claimed that Blord said he was using his detention as a rare chance to relax, noting that his schedule had been extremely busy before his arrest.

In light of the reports surrounding his health and appeals from notable figures, VeryDarkMan also hinted that he would not oppose any bail application for the detained businessman.

“Since on the 6th we knew Blord fell ill na why we dey laugh Sowore as he say Blord dey rest, na why we self leave am make e dey enjoy, however, as it stands now that we have seen that Sowore and his avengers don’t have power to bring Blord out and discontinue the case like he claimed. We are willing to temper mercy,” he wrote.
