A viral video circulating on social media has captured a tense exchange between a young Nigerian man and his mother over political differences and the country’s worsening security situation.
In the clip, the visibly upset young man criticised his mother for supporting President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the All Progressives Congress (APC), following reports of violence in Jos.
Expressing frustration, he referenced recent attacks allegedly carried out by bandits in the area, accusing the government of inaction.
“Can you hear what is happening in Jos? Bandits massacred people there and insecurity is festering. Tinubu does nothing. You still went ahead to campaign for him and the APC. I will disown you as my mother,” he said.
The emotional outburst highlights growing concerns among Nigerians over insecurity in parts of the country, as well as the deepening political divisions that are increasingly affecting personal relationships.

During a sermon, the cleric claimed that several married women had been sending him inappropriate videos and messages, expressing interest in a relationship with him despite his position as a spiritual leader.
“There are several married women in this church sending me their nude videos, telling me they are ready for me if I want,” he said.
The priest further alleged that one of the individuals involved was present during the service, describing the situation as troubling and inappropriate.
“One of the women is right here in this church, listening to me without shame,” he added.
Expressing his frustration, the cleric warned that he would take drastic steps if the behaviour continued.
“If you send it again, I will project it for the entire church to see,” he said.
He also emphasised the seriousness of his role, noting that as a priest who prays for congregants and administers Holy Communion, such actions were unacceptable.
