Convicted Nollywood actor Olanrewaju Omiyinka, widely known as Baba Ijesha, has once again denied the allegations against him in a recent interview with musician and media personality Yinka Ayefele.

During the conversation on Monday, March 23, 2026, Baba Ijesha claimed that he was enticed with food and money prior to the events that led to his imprisonment.

Addressing the viral video in which he was said to have confessed to sexually assaulting a minor, he stated, “They said I used a car key to deflower the minor.”

When asked to elaborate, the actor declined to provide further details, noting that his version of events would be revealed in an upcoming movie.

At one point, Ayefele asked if Baba Ijesha’s earlier mention of being lured with food implied gluttony. Responding in Yoruba, he said,

“Gluttony played a part, as did the money offered. I do not like to disrespect women, which is why I accepted the role. That is what happened, and God is my witness.”

He reiterated that he did not commit the crime for which he was imprisoned.

This interview follows a previous viral podcast session with actress Biola Adebayo, which also generated widespread discussion on social media.

@icon_man001:”Nigerians are too emotional, so he shouldn’t do an interview because you heard only half of the story from your favorites right? I’m not in support of the allegations, but there is freedom of expression!!!”
