  • Oluwadolarz, a well-known Nigerian skit maker, shared a traumatic childhood experience of being sexually abused at six years old by a neighbor named Aunty Ramota.
  • His revelation comes amid controversy surrounding singer Simi, who is facing backlash for past tweets perceived as inappropriate regarding children.

Famous Nigerian skit maker Oluwadolarz has opened up about a distressing childhood incident, revealing that he was sexually abused at the age of six by a neighbor called Aunty Ramota.

His statement arrives during a time when singer Simi is receiving harsh criticism for old tweets that some have interpreted as unsuitable comments regarding children.

Simi later clarified her earlier tweets, mentioning that her past statements were misinterpreted and reiterated her opposition to sexual violence.

In response to the social media uproar, the Lagos State Domestic and Sexual Violence Agency acknowledged the situation but stated that prosecution would require a victim to come forward.

In a video posted online, Oluwadolarz talked about how he was mistreated every time he came home from school to the house where he lived with his grandmother during his childhood.

He shared that this experience caused him lasting anger and emotional wounds that impacted his ability to trust and form relationships as he matured.

“And to start with, first of all, Aunty Ramota it shall not be well with you. When I was 6, yes, I was 6, 5, 6 years old. Then I was living with my grandma, my mum was still in a nursing school then, so I was living with my grandma, so my grandma was like raising me and all that.

So whenever I come back, Ramota is always at home. She’s, she’s only the one at home, like she’s always at home. And whenever I come back from school, Ramota would take me to the backyard of our house and do all sorts. From leaking to, it’s crazy”

He recalled that the abuse continued for an entire year, stating that he was too young to comprehend what was happening and had no one to share his feelings with. He noted that the trauma led to confusion and negatively affected his sexual life, leaving memories that are still vivid today.

“I’m saying it because I’m beginning to realize that it’s something that could have messed up my life. I think he actually did messed up my life. Because it messed up my s£x life, messed up a lot of things about me that I can’t even say here. The damage that that stuff causes or brings to one’s life is unforgettable. It’s almost unsolvable. But as for you, Ramota, it won’t be better for you.”

Oluwadolarz expressed that his motivation for speaking was to prompt parents to focus more on their children, engage in discussions with them, and ensure they feel secure enough to share their stories.

“Please parents, watch your kids. That’s the essence of this video because I’m beginning to realise that it happens to a lot of male children.”
