A user on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter) has expressed fear after receiving threats following a ₦5 million betting win.
The user, @samsonthegoat25, revealed that he found a betting code online, wagered ₦5,000, and ended up winning ₦5 million.
He reportedly sent ₦500,000 to the person who shared the code as a token of gratitude. However, the individual demanded ₦2.5 million from his winnings and allegedly threatened to involve cultists.
In a tweet, the person claimed to know the winner’s exact location and provided proof to support the threat.
”He demands at least another ₦2.5 million from my winnings, claiming I owe him more. He’s threatening to send cultists after me, saying he has my exact address and location and he actually showed proof that he knows it. I refused to send more, but I already gave him the initial ₦500k earlier“, The tweet reads in part.
