Grammy award winning singer, Burna Boy has addressed Nigerians who are bashing for being involved in the electoral process.
It would be recalled that the ‘Last Last’ hit maker had explained the reason he was quite throughout the election despite his politically conscious songs.
Amidst the backlash which has persisted, the musician has felt the need to address the matter once more.
In a post on his Instagram page, Burna Boy said that he has never received money or other tangible gifts from any government.
He said that all the good he has ever done for his country has always been from a place of love.
According to him, he owes nobody anything, adding that he didn’t vote in the election and people should leave him alone.
In his words:
“I’ve never made money from any Nigerian government and I never took any house, land or money from any governor. I’ve never been appointed into any public office and I never intended to be.
