Up and coming singer, Berri Tiga has broken his silence after his hit track ‘Machala’ with skit maker, Carter Efe got taken down from widely-used streaming platforms.
GISTLOVER recalls that weeks after the song went viral and topped charts in various countries, the jam got yanked off by Spotify, Apple Music, Boomplay, and others which generated several speculations from internet users.
While some blamed Wizkid for its removal, others claimed it had infringed on some copyright laws while some affirmed that Berri Tiga must have reported the song due to the fact that Carter Efe was taking the glory.
Be it as it may, a few days after this, Berri Tiga in an IG live session avowed that he wrote and sang ‘Machala’ from beginning to end. He added that people seem to be mistaking him for the producer whereas he is the actual crooner and brain behind the track.
Berri Tiga also noted that he has no idea why the song was taken down from the platforms.
