The interaction began after Denrele shared a post on X (formerly Twitter) on Sunday in celebration of International Women’s Day. In his message, the vibrant TV personality reflected on the balance between masculinity and femininity, while also honouring his mother’s recent birthday. He explained that while masculinity once urged him to “shrink,” femininity encouraged him to “soar.”
Denrele mentioned that he wore red as a tribute to women who inspire and create magic, emphasizing that he embraces both masculine and feminine energies.
Despite the positive message, one X user suggested that Denrele’s renewed visibility was linked to Bobrisky’s departure from Nigeria, commenting: “Bobrisky don leave Naija, old taker don resurrect.”
Responding to the remark, Denrele dismissed the notion and highlighted his enduring presence in the entertainment industry. “Legends don’t resurrect. They never left the stage,” he stated.
He went on to recall that his professional career began in 1994 with the TV program KidiVision 101 on the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) network and stressed that over three decades of experience have kept him relevant.
“This ‘old taker’ has been active in showbiz for 32 years… Three decades of exposure, expertise, and experience,” he added, reaffirming his lasting impact in the entertainment world.
