I May Be Arrested Soon – Ex-Kaduna Governor, El-Rufai Says

Former Kaduna State governor, Nasir El-Rufai, has said he believes he could be arrested soon amid what he described as a growing crackdown on his former associates.

Speaking during an interview with BBC Hausa, El-Rufai revealed that several individuals who worked closely with him while he was in office have already been taken into custody by security agencies.

According to him, the development has raised concerns that he might also be targeted in the near future.

“About four people we worked with in Kaduna have been arrested. So, it may only be a matter of time before they come for me as well,” he said.

El-Rufai, now a prominent figure in the opposition African Democratic Congress (ADC), noted that he has not been detained, but said he is closely monitoring the situation.

In a recent interview, Vivian revealed that her doctor questioned why she chose to conceive with her husband, who has dwarfism, instead of seeking a sperm donor or using another relative.

She recounted the conversation: “The doctor asked, ‘Does anyone have a trait of dwarfism in your family?’ and I said, ‘Yes, that is my husband.’ The doctor said, why didn’t you go to your brother-in-law, or outside to get pregnant, instead of getting pregnant for your husband? Or even get a sperm donor, that’s what a doctor told me.”

Vivian’s revelation has sparked discussions about societal biases and discrimination faced by couples when one partner has a physical condition.
