A Nigerian woman has shared a deeply personal story of regret, revealing how a prophecy influenced her decision not to join her boyfriend in the United States.

In a reflective account, she recounted being in a loving relationship during the 2020 lockdown, describing her partner as caring and supportive. According to her, their plans took a positive turn in 2021 when he relocated abroad, with arrangements already in motion for her to join him.

However, things took an unexpected turn after she accompanied a friend to see a prophet for spiritual guidance. During the visit, she was warned against travelling, a message that left her shaken.

She said, “Then, a friend advised me to seek guidance from a prophet she usually visited. I agreed and went along with her. During the consultation, the prophet told me not to travel. He claimed that, in the spiritual realm, he saw that I wouldn’t survive in the USA, that I was going to d!e because my boyfriend planned to use me for something fet!sh.”

Acting out of fear, she confronted her boyfriend, a decision that quickly strained their relationship.

“I was terrified, out of fear, I immediately called my boyfriend and confronted him. Instead of understanding, he got extremely angry and questioned why I even went to see the prophet in the first place. I tried to explain myself, but he wasn’t willing to listen.”

The situation escalated, leading to the end of their relationship and the collapse of her relocation plans.

“Eventually, he blocked me everywhere, I lost the opportunity to leave this country because of one useless prophecy💔.”

Now reflecting on the experience, she admits the decision still weighs heavily on her.

“Till today, I still regret that decision. Sometimes, I wish I could go back and handle things differently.”

She also revealed that her friendship with the person who introduced her to the prophet ended shortly after the incident.
