Legendary Nigerian musician Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Face or 2Baba, has openly admitted that he has not fully met his responsibilities as a father.
The singer made the disclosure during a recent episode of the Mic On podcast hosted by journalist Seun Okinbaloye. Speaking candidly, 2Baba acknowledged that he has fallen short in his role as a parent and expressed a strong desire to do better.
According to him, the presence of an active and committed father figure is crucial in a child’s upbringing. He noted that his reflections are part of a broader desire to live a more meaningful life and contribute positively to society.
“I want to really contribute to society positively. I want to be among those who make something meaningful happen. I want to contribute my own little quota to help society,” he said.
The award-winning artiste further admitted, “I have not been the best daddy. I want to do more. However, privacy is very important,” stressing that while he is working on self-improvement, he prefers to keep his personal life out of the public spotlight.
2Baba is a father of eight children from four different women. He has two children with Sumbo Ajaba-Adeoye, three with Pero Adeniyi, two with his ex-wife Annie Macaulay, and one with his current wife, Natasha Osawaru.
