Toke Makinwa opened up about struggling with deep depression despite her achievements, recalling long drives in tears, praying to “just be called home,” and hiding her pain with laughter at public events.
“You know, literally, I’ve got it all together,”
“But I didn’t share the fact that I had had, you know, a couple of failed attempts of trying to be a mom.” she admitted.
The media personality also shared how a hurtful tweet about her personal life cut her deeply.
“I remember this particular tweet where somebody tweeted at me. I don’t know how they found out my personal business, but the person wrote online that this is why your two IVFs had failed. Nothing has caught me in my life as much as that tweet. Jesus. I’m not crying because you motherfuckers deserve my tears. But it made me go back to God and say, look at me.”
In other news….. Isaac Fayose, brother of former Ekiti State governor Ayo Fayose, recently stirred reactions online after taking a swipe at media personality, Toke Makinwa, following her pregnancy announcement.
