Seyi Tinubu, the son of Nigeria’s president, has urged Nigerians to remain hopeful about the leadership of his father, Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

In a video that has gone viral on social media, Seyi appealed to citizens to keep faith in the current administration, expressing confidence that the president would not disappoint Nigerians.

“I want to say thank you for the faith you have in our president, and I guarantee you President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu will not fail,” he said.

He added, “Nigeria, the hope we have been hoping for and looking for is here. The President we have been waiting for is here.”

The video has since generated mixed reactions from Nigerians on social media.

A user identified as Vindex expressed support for the president, writing: “God bless and keep the president of the federal republic of Nigeria. No man born of a woman can stop his re-election.”

Andrew wrote: “So this one now na speech abi Seyi Tinubu? Why can’t you just coordinate yourself and give us a complete speech?”

Another user, Akin, said: “The cry of a son is not same as the cry of the suffering masses. We have no faith in his daddy not his presidency.”

Matthew also expressed disappointment, writing: “Some of us expected so much from this president but have been let down.”

Another user, Unyime Edet, questioned Seyi’s role in speaking on national issues, stating: “On what capacity is he speaking? Does the constitution recognizes him or his office? We are just funny in this country wahlai.”

Khone suggested that Seyi might follow his father’s political path, writing: “The next governor of Lagos. Pikin wey dey follow him papa footsteps.”
