Singer Gabriel Oche Amanyi, known as Terry G, has boasted about his impact on the Nigerian music scene.
He stated that he instilled confidence in musicians to smoke cannabis in their performances.
Terry G emphasized that prior to his rise to fame, Nigerian artists did not have the courage to smoke cannabis publicly in their videos.
The Akpako Master made this declaration on social media on Sunday.
His assertion was met with skepticism, as many pointed out that Nigerian music pioneers like Afrobeat legend Fela Anikulapo-Kuti had smoked onscreen long before Terry G’s time.
On his X handle, he wrote, “No hard feelings,it’s all love,but no forget say if no be my sacrifice,none of your fav go get liver to smoke Igbo for screen.”
