Nollywood actress Nkechi Blessing has finally broken her silence following the heavy backlash that trailed a question she asked BBNaija Season 10 winner, Imisi Ayanwale, during the reality star’s birthday party.

The actress was widely criticized online for bringing up Imisi’s strained relationship with her mother on such a celebratory occasion. In response, Nkechi released an emotional apology video, insisting that her intentions were misunderstood and not meant to embarrass the BBNaija star.

In her words, she said:

“I sincerely want to apologize to anybody who got offended with the question I asked Imisi some couple of hours ago at her party. I don’t want to trend for the wrong reasons this year.”

Nkechi admitted that the question may have come off as insensitive and appealed to the public for forgiveness, stressing that she was neither chasing clout nor attempting to put Imisi in an uncomfortable position.
