In the post, Shank had expressed admiration for Diddy’s “approach to hard work” and his adaptability, mentioning that the music star “lost himself in the pursuit of power.”
Responding to the backlash on his 𝕏 account, Shank clarified that he was in no way endorsing Diddy. He explained that the post was a “misguided attempt” at referencing a movie villain and admitted it was irresponsible.
Shank emphasized that he does not support, defend, or admire Diddy, especially in light of the serious allegations against him. He added that the accusations are appalling and stressed that anyone found guilty of such actions should face full consequences.
He wrote, “To clarify any misunderstanding: My post about Diddy was a misguided attempt at referencing a villain in a “movie” and it was irresponsible. To be absolutely clear, I do not admire, support, or defend him in any way.
“The allegations against him are horrific, and he deserves every consequence that comes from them. What he’s been accused of (and convicted of) is unacceptable and has no place in our industry or anywhere else.
