Zeh Nation leader, Habeeb Olalomi Badmus, popularly known as Portable, has addressed the viral footage showing him involved in a scuffle at Port Harcourt airport.
In the clips, the musician is seen trading blows with several men. Portable clarified that he did not start the confrontation but was pulled into it while waiting for his ride.
He explained that upon arriving at the airport for a performance, he and his team were simply waiting for the car that had been arranged to pick them up. During this time, a group of drivers approached him, offering their taxis for hire. Portable told them he was waiting for his scheduled transport.
According to him, rather than leaving him alone, the drivers began recording him and mocking him, accusing him of being stingy and unwilling to give them money. He said the verbal abuse persisted until an immigration officer noticed the situation.
Portable noted that he eventually reacted out of frustration, jokingly saying he “brought out his juju” and added that he was not the president, suggesting that anyone seeking money should go to the president instead. He also highlighted that insulting President Tinubu could have legal consequences.
He clarified that his altercation was only with the drivers and that neither airport security nor other passengers were involved.
This incident follows a similar event a few weeks ago in Ikeja, Lagos State, where Portable was also recorded in a confrontation with some men, which he later explained publicly.
