In a message widely circulating online, the soldier claimed that many personnel feel abandoned and overstretched, with a growing sense of resentment due to the perceived neglect of their families’ welfare. He accused political leaders of prioritizing personal interests while expecting soldiers to continue risking their lives.

The soldier expressed his readiness to prioritize his family over his service, delivering a stark warning about the future of national security:

“Ladies and gentlemen of the armed forces, arise something fishy is going down deeply wey we no know. Make them let us know. If na to drop the kala for them go back go pick up cutlass defend our family. They still need us for house, them love us.”

He further questioned the political leadership, suggesting hypocrisy in expectations placed on service members while leaders’ families remain abroad:

“No be say person wey no need us go carry us dey count money for him pocket while him children dey abroad. Make Una carry Una children come put for this work make them do, me I don tire. Them just dey kee person dey kee person Una no dey fit talk. Na stone we be abi na firewood. Abi na because e never touch Una children.”

The soldier suggested that the worsening situation might push citizens and security personnel toward individual defense, bluntly warning:

“E go reach stage wey everybody go fight for himself. I tell Una this one boldly. Make everybody ready to find Kala for himself and fight. I cannot save the nation anymore. I no think whether we even get president again.”
