Nollywood actress Funke Akindele has opened up about her personality, admitting that she can be intense in both her emotions and actions.

Speaking during an appearance on The Morayo Show, the actress revealed that she sometimes loves deeply but can also cut people off quickly, noting that she is actively working on achieving balance.

“I know I am too extreme; I can love too hard and also easily cut off people. I must say I’m not proud of that and I’m proud of it. There must be a balance,” she said.

Akindele credited her close friend and colleague, Uzee Usman, for helping her gain a new perspective on relationships and leadership.

She recalled a moment when he advised her to be more patient and understanding in her dealings with others, especially in leadership roles.

According to her, the advice prompted deep reflection on how she handles conflicts and interpersonal relationships.

Toward the end of the conversation, the actress also spoke about her upbringing, revealing that her late mother often encouraged her to be calmer despite her strong personality.

“I know I am an extremist. I love so hard, I’m real, I’m not perfect, I can be tough. When my mum was alive, she would always tell me to calm down… It’s good but calm down.

“Human relationships are very important to me, and I’m learning every day, but no matter what happens, my mental health is very important,” she concluded.

Her remarks come days after a viral video showed her appearing to snub fellow actress Toyin Abraham at the premiere of a movie by Iyabo Ojo, sparking conversations online.Young Man Confronts Mother Over Support for Bola Ahmed Tinubu
