The husband of Kristin Cabot, the HR executive who went viral after being caught on a Coldplay kiss cam with her married boss, has broken his silence.

Kristin, 52, was filmed swaying in the arms of her boss, Andy Byron, 50, at Gillette Stadium in Massachusetts. Their startled reaction when they noticed the camera on them quickly went viral, turning into meme content across social media.

Her husband, Andrew Cabot, CEO of Privateer Rum, has now clarified that the viral moment did not end their marriage, as the couple had already separated before the concert.

According to him, they had been “privately and amicably separated several weeks before the Coldplay concert,” with divorce proceedings already underway. Kristin officially filed for divorce on August 13, less than a month after the clip made headlines.

The Daily Mail reported that initial speculation suggested Andrew had been blindsided by the incident, with reporters even waiting outside his New Hampshire home when he returned from a business trip to Japan. However, court documents reveal the couple had already attempted mediation before mutually deciding to part ways.

Despite the separation, Kristin was still seen wearing her wedding ring in photos as recently as May 2024, raising questions about when the relationship finally broke down.
