In a recent post, Simi shared stunning engagement photos, proudly showing off her ring and bouquet. Her caption? “Hi there 😘” a direct nod to an old tweet from a woman who once claimed her relationship with Femi wouldn’t last.
The critic had previously alleged that Femi had a questionable dating history, citing his past relationships in Ibadan and Unilag, and warned Simi that she was likely just another short-lived chapter.
Now, two years later, Simi’s engagement post doubles as a classy clapback showing that not only did their love endure, but it also led to something permanent.

In other news, Veteran Nigerian singer John Odafe Asiemo, popularly known as Daddy Showkey, has shared the story of how he first got introduced to the social media platform Instagram.
In a recent video posted on his page, the singer recounted a visit to Afrobeats superstar Wizkid’s home a few years ago. During the visit, he was surprised to learn that he was trending online all thanks to a post Wizkid had shared about him.
Curious about how it all worked, Daddy Showkey asked Wizkid how to get involved in social media. It was then that Wizkid introduced him to Instagram and even helped set up his account.
Daddy Showkey added that later on, fellow artist KCee also stepped in to guide him on how to use the app properly.
He expressed gratitude to both stars, crediting them for helping him connect with a wider audience through social media.
