Nigerian actress and content creator Bukunmi Adeaga Ilori, widely known as Kiekie, has revealed that she maintains distinct boundaries between her personal and professional life.
Speaking at The Creative Blueprint 2.0, Kiekie shared that she avoids featuring her husband, Tunji Ilori, in her content, explaining, “he is not funny.”
On the other hand, she includes her daughter, Nola, in her social media posts, noting that “she is made for the camera.” However, Kiekie clarified that there are limits to this, and she only collaborates with her daughter for content during school breaks.
The actress stressed the importance for celebrities and content creators to draw clear lines between their personal lives and public personas.
“I have created a very thick line between what is personal to me as Oluwabukunmi Adeaga Ilori and what is personal to my brand as Kiekie.
“What are the elements of my brand? Event and TV host, actor, and content creator. What is my content? Comic,” she said.
Kiekie also urged content creators to exercise caution when involving family members in their work or on social media.
“We overmilk viral moments until it becomes annoying. And that is where oversharing comes in,” she added.
