Governor Willie Obiano of Anambra State has debunked reports making the rounds that he traveled to the United States for treatment.
Unconfirmed news had earlier made the rounds that the Governor was flown overseas to receive treatment for an eye problem.
But upon his return, the Governor dismissed the news, urging Ndi Anambra to disregard same.
Governor Obiano arrived Awka, the state capital on Thursday.
Addressing the crowd that gathered to receive him at the Governor’s Lodge in Amawbia, he said, “I went to the US for a short vacation. But I am back in Awka.
“I do not have any injuries anywhere. I am in a great shape. I have no problem at all with my health. “After observing a period of rest, I have returned to focus more intensely on meeting the expectations of our people and widen the circle of excellence that my administration has established in the state.”
