Nollywood actress Georgina Onuoha has expressed concern over the increasing toxicity within the online community supporting her colleague, May Edochie, the estranged wife of actor Yul Edochie.

In a detailed Instagram post, Onuoha warned that some malicious individuals have infiltrated May’s fan base, known as May Nation, using her name to issue threats, create chaos, and misrepresent her character.

While acknowledging that many fans genuinely support May, she noted that certain pages have taken a hostile turn, sending offensive messages under the guise of “May Nation.”

Onuoha emphasized that these actions do not reflect May’s personality, describing her as a peace-loving, kind, and family-oriented woman who has endured hardship and harassment but has chosen to respond with dignity.

A long-time supporter of May during her marital challenges, Onuoha urged fans to emulate her positive qualities rather than engage in harmful online behavior. She reminded them that May neither threatens nor harasses anyone and cautioned against letting outsiders damage the reputation of the supportive community she has built.

Onuoha disclosed that someone close to her recently received a disturbing threat targeting their children, allegedly sent by a page claiming to represent May Nation. She condemned the message, asserting that it was an attempt to provoke May into responding publicly. She stressed that those behind such acts aim to disrupt May’s peace but will not succeed.

According to Onuoha, May Nation does not have an official structure; it is simply a group of people united by their admiration and love for May Edochie and her commitment to justice. She encouraged supporters to remain vigilant, avoid cruelty, and continue advocating for May’s dignity in a peaceful manner.

She concluded her post by citing the Igbo proverb “ama ndi aneze,” meaning dignity in silence, highlighting that May’s strength lies in her restraint and grace, and urging fans to reflect these qualities in defending her.
