Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen has officially signed for Turkish football giants Galatasaray SK in a massive €75 million deal from Italian club Napoli.
The move was confirmed by Galatasaray on Thursday, July 31, through their social media platforms. The club revealed that a full agreement was reached with Napoli, including a clause that entitles the Italian side to 10% of any profit from a future sale.
Osimhen, 26, has signed a four-year contract which will kick off from the 2025–2026 season. Under the deal, he will earn a net salary of €15 million per year, plus a €1 million loyalty bonus and €5 million in image rights.
The Nigerian international spent last season on loan at Galatasaray, where he made a huge impact—leading the team to win both the Turkish Super Lig title and the Turkish Cup. His performances convinced the club to make the move permanent.
Osimhen arrived in Istanbul on Wednesday evening, July 30, to a hero’s welcome. Thousands of passionate Galatasaray fans stormed the airport to celebrate the arrival of their new star.
This move officially ends Osimhen’s time with Napoli, where he became a fan favorite and cult hero after guiding the team to the Serie A title in the 2022–2023 season.
“Professional football player Victor James Osimhen has been transferred following an agreement reached with his former club, SSCN Napoli S.p.A, ,” the club wrote.
“As part of the agreement, a net transfer fee of 75.000.000 euros will be paid to the former club. Additionally, 10% of the profit from the player’s future sale will be paid to SSCN Napoli S.p.A. A four-year contract has been signed with the player, effective from the 2025–2026 season.”
”According to the agreement, the player will receive a net annual guaranteed salary of 15.000.000 euros, a net loyalty bonus of 1.000.000 euros per season, and 5.000.000 euros per season for image rights.”
