Renowned Nollywood actress and box office sensation, Funke Akindele, has voiced her disappointment over not attending the highly talked-about wedding of Priscilla Ojo, daughter of fellow actress Iyabo Ojo.
The Lagos wedding, which took place recently, captured the attention of social media as it brought together celebrities, influencers, and notable figures to celebrate the union of Priscilla and Tanzanian singer, Juma Jux.
While many in the entertainment industry shared stunning clips and photos from the lavish ceremony, Funke Akindele was notably absent.
Reacting in the comment section of a fellow actress, Wumi Toriola, who attended the wedding, Funke couldn’t hide her feelings. She praised Wumi’s energy at the event and wrote,
“Haaaa!! I miss o. Mad oo! Give dem Wunmi”.
Her comment sparked reactions from fans, many of whom echoed her sentiments and shared how glamorous the event looked through social media snippets.
In other news, Popular Nollywood actress Wumi Toriola has responded to a trending video showing an elderly woman seemingly throwing shade at her during the traditional wedding of Priscilla Ojo and her Tanzanian partner, Juma Jux.
In the viral clip, Wumi was seen enjoying herself and striking poses at the glamorous event. However, what caught the attention of many viewers was an older woman who appeared to give her a stern, dismissive glare and refused to acknowledge her.
Unaware of the moment at the time, Wumi took to a live Instagram session to express her confusion and disappointment after the video gained traction online.
“Why the cold look at the wedding? What did I do to deserve that? I don’t even know you beyond my movie roles. I stay in my lane and mind my business,” she said during the session.
The actress hinted that the woman may have mistaken her on-screen characters for her real-life persona, a common misunderstanding actors face.
“She paused and looked at me oddly. I initially thought something had entered her eyes, but then I realized it was a condescending stare. Whatever thoughts you have about me, may they return to your children. God knows I’ve never wronged you,” she added.
As of now, the identity of the elderly woman remains unknown, and she has yet to respond to Wumi Toriola’s remarks.
