The Spiritual Director of Adoration Ministries Enugu Nigeria (AMEN), Rev. Fr. Ejike Mbaka, has been banned by the Catholic Church from commenting on partisan politics.
In a letter dated June 3, the Catholic bishop of Enugu Diocese Callistus Onaga announced that Fr. Mbaka adoration ministry has also been converted to chaplaincy.
Although Fr. Mbaka still leads the chaplaincy, the bishop can appoint any ministerial officer “to assist the chaplains to oversee the pastoral activities of the ministry.”
This came after Mbaka asked President Muhammadu Buhari to resign or face impeachment.
