Fr. Kelvin Ugwu Criticizes Certain Anambra Professor Over Rivalry With Peter Obi’s Presidential Ambition

Nigerian Catholic priest, Fr. Kelvin Ugwu, has criticized an unnamed Anambra professor who he says feels threatened by the presidential ambition of fellow Anambra indigene, Peter Obi.

His remarks came shortly after Anambra State Governor, Professor Charles Soludo, appeared to take a swipe at Peter Obi over his pledge to serve only one term if elected president.

In a social media post, Fr. Ugwu condemned the attitude, stressing that true leadership should not be driven by rivalry or insecurity.

‘’The Anambra Prof wants to be president of Nigeria, which is not a bad thing. But his professorial calculation is that Peter Obi is a threat to his ambition. For if Peter Obi ever becomes president before him, it will mean that the South East has been fully represented, and if rotational politics is anything to go by, it will take almost two decades before the South East will be considered again. Plus the fact that Obi will always be used as a yardstick to measure how Anambra is governed. The professor does not feel good about that. So you can understand why Prof will rather support Bulaba or Atiku. It is just that Prof no too get sense like that. He can’t even hide his jealousy and hatred. If you look very well, Prof has kois kois, it is just that it is in the recessive gene”
