“Forex Is the Biggest Scam”- Woman Warns Public Over Alleged Forex Practices

  • A Nigerian woman has alleged that the forex industry is driven by recruitment and influencer marketing rather than real trading profits, sparking debate online.
  • She further alleged that participants were enticed with promises of luxury rewards, including properties and business opportunities abroad, while the organisers generated income primarily through training fees and recruitment.

A Nigerian woman has sparked widespread reactions online after alleging deceptive practices within the forex trading space, describing it as exploitative and misleading.

In a statement shared on social media, the lady claimed that the real profits in the industry are not from trading itself, but from recruiting new participants and presenting a curated lifestyle online.

According to her, attendees at the event were encouraged to shift their focus from actual trading performance to building an online persona that could attract followers and potential trainees.

She further alleged that participants were enticed with promises of luxury rewards, including properties and business opportunities abroad, while the organisers generated income primarily through training fees and recruitment.

“Forex is the biggest scam in Nigeria. I attended a forex event where they told me not to focus on being profitable, but to become a forex influencer; post a modest lifestyle and claim it came from trading. The real money is in bringing people to learn forex. The more people you recruit, the more you earn. They even promised me offices and houses in Dubai. Meanwhile, they profit from students who are actually losing money,” she said.

Universe is the definition of my papa born me into the world, my mummy was just there as a witness.

I’m Just too Blessed,” she added.
