In other news…. Nigeria’s First Lady, Remi Tinubu, recently sparked controversy over her interaction with Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State, who is also the uncle of music star Davido.

The incident occurred during the 10th coronation anniversary of the Ooni of Ife over the weekend. A video circulating online shows Governor Adeleke, known for his love of dancing and singing, on stage preparing to deliver his speech. He began by singing Christian hymns in gratitude to God before transitioning to his remarks.

At this point, the First Lady approached him on stage, asking, “Are we in church?” as she handed him his speech and gestured, apparently signaling that he had a short time to read it. Despite this, Governor Adeleke continued singing, prompting the First Lady to return and warn, “I will turn off the microphone.”

The interaction drew criticism from some observers, who felt her approach was disrespectful to an elected governor. Several people also referenced past controversies involving the First Lady and former senators, suggesting that the behavior was consistent with previous incidents.

On the other hand, some questioned whether it was appropriate for a governor to sing while he was meant to deliver an official speech.
