Finally, Firstbank Reacts To The Rumours That Its Elephant May Swallow Customers Money

First Bank assures customers that the elephant on its logo won’t swallow their money.

First Bank of Nigeria has reacted to a tweet from one of its customers who claims he can’t trust the bank and might close his account with them simply because of the rate at which animals are reportedly swallowing huge sums of money. In his tweet, he pointed out that the elephant in the bank’s logo is not trustworthy cos it might join the league of animals who swallow money.

The twitter user with the handle @officialrohkip said,

“With the way animals swallow money now, I will have to close me @FirstBankngr account. I don’t trust that elephant on their logo….”.

The First Bank quickly reacted to the tweet knowing fully well the damage such can do to their customer base if not checked promptly. They responded by assuring customers that the elephant on their logo represents trust, integrity, dependability and loyalty, so therefore customers’ money is safe with them.

”The Elephant on our logo represents trust, integrity, dependability, and loyalty. Let your First Bank account remain open. We are your trusted ally. #Stillstanding #Stilldependable #YouFirst”.

Few weeks ago, news broke out that a snake swallowed N36m  from the vault of the account office of JAMB in Makurdi, Benue State. While Nigerians were still finding it surprising and doubtful, news broke out that a monkey ate N70m belonging to the Northern Senators Forum right in the farm of a ranking senator.

The senate caucus immediately sacked Sen. Abdullahi Adamu as its chairman following the mismanagement of the said funds.

Deputy President of the Senate, Ike Ekweremadu who presided over Wednesday’ s plenary, announced the leadership change with Sen. Aliyu Wamakko as the new chairman.

Briefing newsmen after plenary, Senator Shehu Sani said that since the money could not be accounted for, maybe this time monkeys have made away with the money.
