Nollywood actor Femi Adebayo has responded publicly following allegations from his ex-wife, Omotayo Sanusi, also known as Iyanaladuke, who claimed that he sent around 20 men to forcibly remove her from her restaurant.

In a series of Instagram posts, Omotayo stated that the men even ejected her elderly mother from the property. She described the incident as part of an ongoing marital conflict that has played out online and accused Adebayo of initiating the ordeal, saying she had endured months of humiliation.

Shortly after her posts gained traction on social media, Femi Adebayo shared photos of himself with a brief caption, though he did not provide a detailed response to the allegations.

Offering a different perspective, a family member, Mrs. Taiwo Abdulmalik, explained that the eviction was not Adebayo’s doing. She said it was the result of a bank reclaiming a property purchased with a loan, as Adebayo had faced challenges with repayment, prompting foreclosure proceedings.

Abdulmalik noted that Omotayo had been aware for months that the property could be reclaimed. “She knew the bank was coming for recovery. These properties belong solely to him, and he is still paying a substantial principal with interest,” she explained.

The family member added that before the foreclosure, Adebayo arranged for Omotayo and others living with her to move into a fully paid short-term apartment.

Abdulmalik also highlighted the couple’s child, who reportedly has autism. She stated that Adebayo has remained actively involved in his son’s care, even spending approximately $50,000 last year to take him to India for medical treatment information that she claims is rarely shared publicly.

Both of you don’t have to come back together, each one can walk their different ways but in all both of you do be kind to each other for the sake of the love you once shared and for the child in between. God help you as you navigate this new chapter”
