Nollywood enthusiasts were met with an unexpected but heartwarming moment after actress Faithia Williams publicly endorsed Funke Akindele’s latest film, Behind the Scene.
The gesture signalled what seems to be a significant mending of their strained relationship.
Their feud dates back to 2024, when Faithia revealed that Funke had blocked her on Instagram. According to her, the action came after she showed support for Mercy Aigbe and her movie project, which reportedly didn’t sit well with Funke.
At the time, Faithia stated that she wasn’t troubled by the social media block, emphasizing that Funke wasn’t “her God” and had no power to determine her circle.
In a recent clip posted on Instagram, Faithia whose son just graduated displayed an elegantly curated invitation package sent by Funke for the premiere of Behind the Scene. The premiere is set for December 7, 2025, while the film will be available in cinemas from December 12.
Faithia appeared genuinely delighted as she unboxed the invitation.
Her caption read:
“December is here again, and you know what that means! Behind the Scenes by @funkejenifaakindele premieres on December 7th, 2025. It hits cinemas nationwide from December 12th! It’s definitely going to be a blockbuster Funke Akindele never disappoints. Get ready!”
