The family of fast-rising Nigerian singer Ifunanya Nwangene, popularly known as Nanyah, has released the official burial arrangements following her sudden death.
Nanyah, who was just 26 years old, reportedly died on January 31, 2026, after being bitten by a snake at her residence in Abuja. She was rushed to the hospital but sadly did not survive.
Her brother, Kingsley Nwangene, shared the official obituary on Instagram via his page @official_kaybaba1, confirming the details of her final rites. He captioned the post, “Till I see you again,” which has since drawn an outpouring of condolences from fans, friends, and colleagues in the music industry.
According to the obituary, a service of songs will be held in Lagos on February 10, 2026, at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Abule Oshun, Dansa, starting at 4:00 pm. This will be followed by a requiem mass at the same venue by 6:00 pm.
Nanyah will be laid to rest in her hometown, Enugu State, on February 14, 2026. A thanksgiving service will take place the following day, February 15, in her honor, allowing loved ones and fans to celebrate her life and musical journey.
Her untimely passing has left many shocked, with tributes continuing to pour in across social media.
