A new debate has sparked after Pastor Dolapo Lawal, the lead preacher of Zoehousehold Global TV, made striking remarks during a recent sermon. His message targeted what he described as hypocrisy among churchgoers who criticize others for sins they themselves commit.

During his sermon, which centered on the theme of ‘Church People,’ Pastor Dolapo highlighted various sexual sins, emphasizing that no one has the moral authority to judge another. He stated that condemning someone for sexual misconduct while committing similar acts is contradictory, pointing out:

“A fornicator is condemning a homosexual; you’re doing the same thing, it’s sexual sin. You’re condemning someone who has a child out of wedlock but you’ve taken out two. Church people!”

He underscored the idea that some church members are “darker than what they’re condemning,” stressing the inconsistency of moral judgment within religious settings.

To illustrate his point, Pastor Lawal shared a personal story involving a woman he had previously dated. He had encouraged her to attend church, despite her surprise at his invitation. However, her visit was cut short when an usher deemed her attire inappropriate, preventing her from entering the service.

He recounted the encounter:

“I pulled her aside, I said ma, if this girl should leave here now, she is not coming back here… I started begging the woman but they told the lady to leave.”

Using this incident, Pastor Dolapo argued that the church often prioritizes rigid rules over genuine spiritual transformation. He concluded by noting that many fail to distinguish between punishment and restoration, and that fear-driven regulations frequently overshadow the gospel’s capacity to bring about meaningful change.

@toplad_tech:”It is not about judging anyone. But somethings do not make sense at all. Why will a man be doing a fellow man??”

@gracefulamaka:”This is proof that people listen to respond and not to understand. You can say, “I like rice” and someone would respond, “so, you’re saying beans is not good?” 🤷🏾‍♀️… he said both are sinful, he did not say he’s supporting homosexuals.”

@kingjosiahmba:”End time pastors, it’s never the same thing and God never sees it as the same thing.”

@akaazuaternguemmanuel:”see fornicators in the comment section arguing with the bible.😂”

@mystical_paul2:”So this one is also a pastor? Church don suffer 😢 encouraging anyhowness. Every sin should be condemned but all sins aren’t the same. Even in law,all offence and crimes aren’t the same.”
