Ex-AGF Abubakar Malami Confirms EFCC Invitation, Vows Transperency

  • Former Attorney-General of the Federation (AGF) and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami (SAN), has publicly confirmed receiving an invitation from the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC). Malami, who served in the immediate past administration, pledged to honor the invitation as a law-abiding citizen and committed to sharing developments with the Nigerian public as they unfold, emphasizing his belief in accountability and transparency in public service.

Former Attorney-General of the Federation (AGF) and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami (SAN), has confirmed that he has received an invitation from the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

Malami, who served in the immediate past administration, made the announcement via his verified social media account, where he pledged his full cooperation and commitment to transparency regarding the development.

In his brief statement, the former AGF reaffirmed his status as a law-abiding citizen and expressed his commitment to honouring the anti-graft agency’s invitation. He emphasized that the principles of accountability and transparency in public service are central to his actions.

His statement read:
