On her Instagram page, the Nollywood star reflected on the importance of resilience and maintaining the right perspective during difficult times.

She explained that the moments when doors closed on her career, though initially disheartening, were instrumental in shaping her path and preparing her for bigger opportunities.

According to Akindele, each rejection had a purpose it strengthened her determination, clarified her direction, and guided her toward the “yes” that truly mattered. She encouraged her followers to see rejection not as a measure of their worth, but as a nudge toward something better suited to their journey.

“Every No prepared me for the Yes that mattered.

“Rejection doesn’t reduce you. It redirects you,” she wrote.

According to her, she was once homeless and had sought shelter in a church while trying to survive. However, she said she was later asked to leave after the pastor reportedly stated that he did not want anyone sleeping on the premises.

She explained that after being forced out, she struggled to find a place to stay and eventually found herself on the streets. Facing hardship and lacking support, she said she later became involved in hookup as a way to survive.

Before I Went Into It, I Was Homeless And Sought Refuge In a Church, But I Was Later Asked To Leave Because The Pastor Said He Didn’t Want Anyone Sleeping There. That Was When I Started Looking For Where To Stay And Eventually Got Involved In Street Life.”
