A woman has sparked widespread reactions online after advising married men to stop conducting DNA tests on their children.
In her statement, she argued that once a man has legally married a woman and paid her bride price, any child she gives birth to should automatically be regarded as his. According to her, biological ties should not be the main concern, as long as the man is fulfilling his role as a father.
She further stated that even if a wife is unfaithful and becomes pregnant, the husband should still accept and raise the child. In her view, fatherhood is about responsibility and living according to God’s expectations, not necessarily about blood relations.
In her words: “Men should stop doing DNA. Every child given birth by a woman you married and paid bride price on her, she’s your legal wife. So any child she give birth to is automatically yours. Please stop doing DNA test. It doesn’t matter whether you’re biological related to a child or not. What matters is that child is under you and you’re playing the part of a father according to the way God want. If your wife is unfaithful and in the process get pregnant, whether the child is yours be a good father to them.”
Her comment has generated mixed reactions on social media, with some agreeing that parenting goes beyond biology, while others insisted that trust and paternity certainty are essential in marriage.
