According to reports, Orupabo was traveling to inspect an event venue ahead of an upcoming assignment when the tragic incident occurred. The shooting took place near Kingoliza Hall on Total Gospel Road in Port Harcourt on Thursday, March 19th.
She was accompanied by her driver and another individual when she was shot multiple times. Despite being rushed to the hospital for emergency care, Orupabo succumbed to her injuries a few days later.
Authorities reported that her iPhone 17 and handbag were stolen during the attack. The person who invited her for the event noted that she could no longer access her Bolt app due to the theft of her phone.
The news sparked widespread grief among fans and raised suspicions about the circumstances of the attack, with many suggesting that the event planner may have been specifically targeted rather than it being a random robbery. Several people also shared their concerns about safety in Port Harcourt, citing similar incidents that have forced them to leave the city.
