Blessing Agbomhere, the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress in Edo State, has encouraged the people of the state to reject the Peoples Democratic Party and its candidate.
He pointed out that the people had been let down by the party and Governor Godwin Obaseki.
The All Progressives Congress’s South-South Zonal Organizing Secretary, Agbomhere, charged Obaseki with neglecting to give the state’s citizens with necessities.
Agbomhere urged the people to support the APC in the gubernatorial election by promising to enhance the social and economic conditions of the state in a statement he signed on Wednesday.
If given the chance, he pledged to put the state back on the same pedestal as the economic advancement and infrastructure development brought about by Adams Oshimole.
The statement partly read, “I want to urge the people of the state not to fall for the antics of the governor who has failed the people. He has failed to provide them with the basic necessities of life. The people should reject him, his deputy, and his party. Edo residents should ensure the return of the APC to Osadebey House.
“The tragic state of affairs in Edo state is worrisome and fallout of the uncoordinated and vision-less leadership provided by Governor Obaseki and his deputy, Shuaibu in the past seven and a half years.
“If allowed to be governor, the state would witness the rekindling of the massive growth and development sparked by the Comrade Adams Oshiomhole administration.”
