Ebuka Obi-Uchendu Slams Internet Provider Over Prolonged Service Outage

Nigerians were taken aback by a rare display of anger from popular media personality Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, who called out internet service provider FiberOne on social media over a persistent service outage.

Ebuka, known for his calm and composed public image, surprised many after tagging the company on X (formerly Twitter) and expressing his frustration over a three-week-long internet disruption with FOBroadband.

Ebuka tweeted; “No explanation, no apologies. Just dead silence. Are you guys insane. @FiberOne_help. @Ebuka. Three weeks and counting, and my @FOBroadband has not worked. Such fuckery!!!”

FiberOne responded with a standard apology:

“We sincerely apologize for this experience. Please keep in mind that we are currently working on fixing this issue.”

But that only escalated things, prompting Ebuka to fire back in a tweet that shocked fans:

“FVCK YOU AND FVCK OFF.”

The explosive exchange quickly went viral, with many users expressing disbelief at the usually composed Big Brother Naija host’s fiery tone. Others sympathized, citing similar frustrations with poor service delivery in Nigeria’s tech and telecom sectors.

While FiberOne has yet to issue a follow-up response, the incident has reignited conversations around customer service, accountability, and the quality of internet infrastructure in the country.

Reacting to the post….

@love_ibanga: I talk am say everybody get inner demonsss. Na broadband bring out Ebuka own! You can’t be in this country and be normal.

@iamAbiodunAA: Baba just do starlink. Wayyyyy better than Fiberone.

@abbati: Just switch to MTN Fibre, that’s what I did and now I have peace.

@Make_OutHill : Sorry you’re dealing with that. I’ve been using Spectranet and honestly, it’s been smooth sailing for me.. You should try it.

@OsinachiNuel: I remember how frustrated I used to get whenever they had network issues😅Sometimes it would go on for days, and your money would still be running 🤦🏾.

@Kayloaded1 : Sorry, I thought they really embarrassed you yesterday. I don’t know why it’s difficult for our people to provide excellent service especially when it’s fully paid for.
