A Nigerian man has publicly defended his wife after she became the target of harsh criticism on TikTok following the release of their traditional introduction video.
According to the husband, some social media users flooded the comment section with damaging allegations, labeling his wife a former “street girl.” He described the comments as frustrating, unnecessary, and deeply unfair.
Reacting to the backlash, the man urged critics to stop projecting their frustrations onto others, saying that those who are unhappy with their own lives should not attempt to ruin the joy of others online. He expressed shock that grown men would engage in what he described as character assassination.
He further warned that making sensitive and defamatory claims without evidence is dangerous and unacceptable. The man added that he remains calm because his wife is not affected by the accusations, noting that he would have taken action if she were disturbed by them.
Emphasizing his trust in his wife, he explained that they dated for several years and that she had never given him any reason to doubt her character.

In other news…. American streamer IShowSpeed has once again captured attention online following his recent visit to Nigeria as part of his African tour.
According to GistLover, the US-based content creator met Nigerian influencer Jarvis in Lagos on Wednesday during his Speed Does Africa livestream series, though the exact date of the encounter was not mentioned.
The trip was also notable as it coincided with a major personal milestone: IShowSpeed, whose real name is Darren Jason Watkins Jr., reached 50 million subscribers on his 21st birthday.
In popular footage from the event, Watkins was seen hanging out with Jarvis, who sported his trademark robot outfit. During their meetup, Jarvis taught the streamer the dance routine for the viral track Money Constant.
A clip circulating widely online also captured comedian Carter Efe on a phone call with fellow creator Lord Lamba, discussing the meeting between Jarvis and IShowSpeed. Efe claimed that the streamer planned to take Jarvis to Abuja the next day and that they intended to stay at Transcorp Hotel. Lord Lamba’s reaction was one of surprise, with him audibly screaming in shock during the conversation.
