Nollywood star Destiny Etiko has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of popular Anambra businessman Ifesinachi Onyekere, widely known as “Fish Magnet.”
The tragic news has drawn reactions nationwide, following reports that the businessman was abducted on Saturday, July 26, before his death was later confirmed. His demise comes days after social media critic Martins Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan, broke down in tears on Wednesday, July 30, while lamenting the loss.
Etiko, in her reaction, condemned the rising wave of insecurity in the country and urged authorities to step up efforts to protect citizens. She described the late Fish Magnet as a hardworking and promising young entrepreneur whose untimely death was both painful and disheartening.
The incident has fueled widespread public outrage, with many Nigerians calling for urgent action to curb the increasing spate of kidnappings and violence.
“What was his offense Bikonu. Because decided to be useful to himself. Someone people are not human at all. Kidnapping and taking money from him wasn’t enough…must u sniff life out of him. Honestly I have been having anxiety since yesterday upon this devastating news. Pls our government should look into the security of our country This tragedy is becoming a nightmare to us. We need maximum security in all the states especially in the eastern part of Nigeria. My heart is pained. RIP MY IGBO BROTHER,” she wrote.
